Richards took the lead on lap 44 of the 100-lap of
the 24-car main for the INSSA Super Late Model Series. Once in that
position, he only had one scare and that came from the youngster
Williams. After the race Williams went to Richards and said, “I almost
got you there” with a big smile. Richards said “that young kid is
good. I plan to run the 200 on Sunday and even tomorrows 2nd ‘Duel for
the 200’ “ featuring the Rocky Mountain Challenge Series. The top six
from the INSSA race automatically are locked into the Idaho 200 on
Sunday afternoon. Besides Richards, Williams and Sundberg making into
the 200 are Jonathan Gomez, Chris Hart and Dan Garber.
The Early Stock 20-lap main had race winner Will
Krasselt take the lead mid-way through. Shawn Priest closed on Krasselt
late in the race but ran out time and finished second. Third went to
Clayton Wood.
In the other support class the local Hobby Stock main
event win went to Treven Tarr taking the lead early in the 25-lap event,
cruising the rest of the way. Biily Swift was a distant second with
Brandon Tarr third.
