Fenton has posted top four finishes in all of this
season’s events, and is definitely holding the “most consistent” title.
While Fenton has been Mr. Consistent, many of his
top ten competitors have either posted DNF’s or weren’t able to make the
show. Two-time champion, Dave Garber, in his Concrete Cutters
Pontiac, has been slowly reeling Fenton in while making his bid for a
third title. Garber, coming off back-to-back wins, had a
mechanical failure at the season opener and had to watch from the
sidelines.
Greg McKinley in his second full season of INSSA
competition sits currently second in points over Garber, with Jeff
Little third. Rookie of the year contenders, Kameron McKeehan and
Andrew Zimmer, separated by only 6 points, are running fifth and sixth
respectively.
After a trip to the super half mile oval at Spokane
County Raceway, the drivers are ready to head back to the quarter mile
at State Line Speedway this Saturday night, where they’ve called home
for the past six seasons. Also on tap are the Hobby Stocks.
Qualifying at 6:00 and racing at 7:00.
