Garber Dominates Windermere 100

POST FALLS, IDAHO – June 29, 2008 – Defending INSSA champion, Dave Garber, moved further ahead in the point standings dominating the Windermere 100 at Stateline Speedway Saturday night.

Garber, with a win in Montana this season, grabbed the lead early in the race from leader Rob Reinbold and quickly checked out. Garber was in position to start lapping the third and fourth place cars when a caution flew late in the race.

Cautions for spins and an oil down allowed many cars the chance to stay on the lead lap. Reinbold finished second his highest ever INSSA finish followed by Jeff Fenton, a season best third.

Jessie Taylor and Dan Yonke rounded out the top five. Mechanical problems plagued many teams including second place points sitter Corey Allen, Spokane’s Andy Brown, Steve Parrish, and Jack Morse who was running third during the race when his motor blew.

Garber also won the fast heat. Bill Belton won a dash. Clint Habert from British Colombia won a heat and dash.

Treven Tarr set fast time in the Hobby Stocks and won the 25-lap main event over brother Brycen and Billy Swift. Joel Schrader won a heat race. Brycen Tarr leads the point standings.

Craig Felix won the Street Stock main event passing Ned Pennington midway through the race avoiding ill handling cars. Andy Brown won the dash.

Fourteen cars competed in Early Stock action with Shawn Priest holding off fast dash and heat winner Ken Iverson in the 25-lap main event for the victory. Iverson finished second followed by Brian Cobbs and Amanda Robideaux. Nick McClendon won a heat race and dash.

Saturday events at Stateline resume July 12 with the ICAR Racing Series, Late Model 4’s, Early Stocks, and Hobby Cars.
