Roeder Captures Windermere 100 Victory
POST FALLS,
IDAHO – July 8, 2007 – Ephrata, Washington’s Christian Roeder
set fast time and dominated the Windermere 100-lap race to take
his first win in the Inland Northwest Super Stock Series
Saturday night at Stateline Speedway in dominating fashion.
Roeder started
deep in the field after the invert and set off on a fast march
towards the front. Dicing to the top and bottom lanes, Roeder,
who finished second in last year’s Idaho 200, quickly tracked
down race leader John Mandere to take the lead.
Caution flag
flew on lap 41 for a three-car crash in turn three. The caution
allowed second place driver and current series point leader Dave
Garber to catch back up with Roeder who had driven away from the
lead pack, putting cars laps down.
Roeder continued
to pull away after the restart by a full straight stretch until
three cautions flew in the last ten laps. Garber tried to keep
with Roeder on the restarts but the Montana 200 champion darted
to a sizable lead to take the win in the Windermere 100.
Garber finished
second, dash winner Jeff Little third. Andy Brown finished
fourth followed by Corey Allard and heat winner Steve Parish. A
heat winner Jack Morse rounded out the top ten.
The INSSA Series
returns to Stateline August 3, 2007 for the Duel for the 200, as
teams from all over the Northwest representing various tracks
and series converge on Stateline Speedway for the 2007 NAPA Auto
Parts Idaho 200 August 3-5.
Ron Rohde won a
caution filled 20-lap main event for the Early Stocks to capture
his second win in a row for the class over Ken Iverson and Allen
Tuckness. Lori Ann Wilson won the B Dash and Heat. Justin
Robideaux set fast time and won the A heat.
Ned Pennington
held off dash and heat winner Billy Swift and Gary Hommel to
take the win in the Hobby Car’s 15-lap feature. Harrington,
Washington’s Tyson Wilcox finished fourth followed by Dave
Harrison
