FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
INSSA Set for 2007 Debut
Spokane, WA (April, 2007) – The Inland Northwest Superstock
Association (INSSA) is gearing up for its fourth season opener
with a new twist. For the first time, events have been scheduled
at both State Line Speedway and Spokane Raceway Park. The
association is extremely excited to get underway and very much
looking forward to competing at both facilities. With the
addition of the high-banked half-mile oval, teams will really
have to do their homework from race to race, as car setups will
have to be changed from one track to the other. Racing gets
underway with the opener at State Line Speedway on Saturday,
April 28th and the debut at SRP on Saturday, May 19th.
Competition is expected to be HOT this year with 15-16 cars
tentatively scheduled for the first event. One notable that will
be missed this weekend is 2006 defending INSSA Champion, Mike
Behar. Behar, who will be running a limited schedule, along with
runner-up and 2004 INSSA Champion, Dan Garber had a fierce
battle throughout the last season, with Behar besting Garber by
only one point; a battle that came down to the final laps of the
season championship event. It can’t get much closer than that
and you can be sure Garber will be looking for redemption in
2007.
Also expected to return during this season are 2006 top ten
finishers: Andy Brown, Jack Morse, Jeff Little, Rookie of the
Year Tony Berry, Ross Cooper, Corey Allard and John Mandere, as
well as Dave Garber, Bill Belton, Jeff Fenton, Steve Parrish,
Christian Roeder, Jessie Taylor, Kameron McKeehan, Mike Hoover,
Rusty Webb, Frankie Volz Jr and 2005 INSSA Champion, Kevin
Richards. Richards, who spent most of the 2006 season competing
with the Late Model Challenge Series having two wins and two top
three finishes in five starts, is anticipated to run several
times with INSSA during the year. Some of the new faces making
their INSSA debut are GregMcKinley, Kit VanBuskirk, Kevin
Molland, and Matt Hall just to name a few.
Hooters Owl Club Casino with strong east coast connections to
motorsports, Windermere Real Estate, a great supporter of the
series since its inception, Sunoco Race Fuel, the official fuel
of INSSA and Five Star Racing Bodies (distributed by FabTech
Racing Products), will return as marketing partners during the
2007 season. Sponsor participation is a major component of the
success of INSSA, and we are proud and excited to have their
continued support.
The 2007 INSSA season kicks off this Saturday night, April 28th
at Stateline Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho. Gates will open at 1
pm, practice starts at 3 pm and qualifying at 6 pm. Don’t miss
it, as this is shaping up to be the best season yet!
