FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
INSSA Heads for “The
Hill”
Spokane, WA (May, 2007) – For many of
the Inland Northwest Super Stock Association (INSSA) racers’,
going to Spokane Raceway Park (SRP) is like going home. A number
of INSSA’s drivers made their racing debut at SRP throughout the
years. For others, this will be a chance to try out the
high-banked half-mile oval in Airway Heights for the first time,
as INSSA expands its schedule to include SRP, as well as State
Line, for the 2007 season. With the two tracks virtually next
door, INSSA has attempted to schedule events at both venues
since its inception; however, no agreement could be reached. New
management has opened the door for this opportunity and both
parties are extremely anxious to get things underway.
Dave Garber, winner of the opener at
State Line Speedway two weeks ago, leads the point’s race over
Jeff Fenton going into the second event of the season. Garber,
who went to the outside groove in the last event to take the
lead and eventual win, finished out of the top ten in points
last season, and hopes to carry the momentum from this win into
the next event and throughout the summer.
Expected for the SRP opener along with
Garber and Fenton are Andy Brown, Corey Allard, Jack Morse, John
Mandere, Jeff Little, Greg McKinley and past INSSA champion
Kevin Richards just to name a few.
On slate to run along with INSSA are
the Late Model 4s, Compacts and Hobby Stocks. Qualifying starts
at 6:00 and racing starts at 7:00.
