INSSA
Heats up with Hooters Hot Wings 100 Finale

Spokane, WA (Sept. 2007) Warm days ~ cool
nights…….it’s that time of year…….season championship time, that
is! The Inland Northwest Super Stock Association (INSSA) heats
up the track this Saturday night at State Line Speedway for
their season finale with the Hooters Hot Wings 100.
The 2007 champion will be crowned at the
end of the night. Dave Garber holds a comfortable point lead
over Corey Allard and Jeff Little. Allard, in just his second
year of late model racing, has done an outstanding job since
taking the wheel from his Dad, Brad. He has established himself
as a force to be reckoned with not only this year, but also in
years to come. The point’s battle
from second place through ninth place could very easily change
during the
course of the evening, as the
standings are much closer. Only 39 points separate Corey Allard
and Jeff
Little, 27 points back to Andy Brown, and
22 points back to fifth place rookie, Greg McKinley.
Unlike previous years, when the
championship came down to the final laps of the night, Garber
need only start the main event in order to clinch the title.
Garber, who has maintained the lead since the first
event in the spring, is looking forward to the possibility of
his first INSSA Championship, having secured his last title in
2001 with the Northwest Late Model Association. Leaving his
mark amongst previous INSSA champions, Dan Garber 2004, Kevin
Richards 2005 and Mike Behar 2006 would be quite an honor,
although not his main objective. A die-hard racer at heart,
Garber would like to see a great, competitive race, and of
course be the first to take the checkered flag at the end of the
night. With two wins under his belt this season, a third could
be in his future. As they say, though, it’s not over until it’s
over.
