Montana’s Morton Wins Opening Duel
at Idaho 200
POST
FALLS, IDAHO – August 4, 2006 – Kalispell, Montana’s Bodie Morton picked
up his first late model win at Stateline Speedway Friday night winning
the INSSA Duel for the 200. Morton held off Mike Behar and Dan Garber to
claim the trophy and a spot in Sunday’s Idaho 200.
Morton
passed Sandpoint, Idaho’s Corey Allard on lap 15 and dodged lap traffic
holding off Mike Behar through the second half of the
event to claim his first big event in a late model. Behar finished
second Dan Garber third. Andy Brown claimed the forth spot followed by
Christian Roeder and Jack Morse rounding out the top six.
The top six drivers are
automatically locked into Sunday’s Idaho 200. Jack Morse was the only
driver not sure if he was going to run. The spot would then go to
Darrell Midgley if Morse declines.
