The Inland Northwest Super Stock Association (INSSA) prepares for the
third race of the season this Saturday night at the Stateline Speedway
in Post Falls, Idaho. The Physical Therapy Associates 100 benefiting
the Morning Star Boys Ranch will have an increased purse provided to
the field of cars.
This is the first event of the
year in which the primary sponsor of the INSSA event will be teaming
up with a charitable organization within the community. Physical
Therapy Associates, operated by racer Jeff Fenton, will be sponsoring
their first ever event and are looking forward to working alongside
the Morning Star Boys Ranch. This is a big weekend for our company as
we will be utilizing the hospitality area to host an event for the
Morning Star Boys Ranch as well as our employees here at Physical
Therapy Associates. We are confident that this event will be a success
on several levels and the INSSA series can help promote a terrific
group of people, commented Fenton.
In honor of the Memorial Day
weekend, the Idaho Army National Guard will also be on hand
distributing American flags to the first 500 kids under the age of 12.
There will also be a ceremony during intermission where new Guardsmen
will be sworn in. It is an honor to participate in such an event that
brings honor to the men and women of the Armed Forces, and especially
those soldiers of the Idaho Army National Guard who have recently
returned from the war in Iraq. The community has shown immense support
to the soldiers returning home. As a token of our appreciation, the
Idaho Army National Guard will be giving the first 500 kids through
the gate an American flag. Additionally, we will be performing a mass
s wear-in of new Army National Guard members and participating in the
flag ceremony that opens the evening's race. SPC Jonathon Pemp, a
Purple Heart recipient from Charlie Company 116th Engineer
Battalion in Post Falls, will be the honorary flagman. It will be a
fitting place and opportune time to show respect to the soldiers and
community that has given so much, said First Sergeant Michael Kish.
Points leader, Dan Garber, and
the rest of the INSSA field are set to do battle this Saturday night.
Qualifying begins at 6 p.m. with racing at 7:30. For more information
