Can Behar make it two in a row?

Mike Behar of Otis Orchards, WA celebrates his win two-weeks ago.

POST FALLS, IDAHO – May 9, 2006 – Saturday marks the return of the Inland Northwest Super Stocks Series to Stateline Speedway for their second night of competition after opening their season two weeks ago. Otis Orchards driver Mike Behar sat on the pole for the first event and bested the field leading all 100-laps. Behar won the same race last year in the same fashion.

The car was running on only seven cylinders, said Behar during post race tech inspection. Crew members for the team found missing spark plug components. Behar said he was confident he had a car to beat even though he nearly missed the show while trying to get the new motor installed hours before qualifying.

Ephrata’s Christian Roeder challenged late in the race but ran out of time finishing a close second. Andy Brown locked in fourth followed by 2004 series’ champion Dan Garber rounding out the top five. Defending champion Kevin Richards of Newman Lake, Washington finished ninth after he retired from the race on lap 84 after an accident.
