Behar Back to Victory Lane

POST FALLS, IDAHO – August 27, 2006 – Otis’ Orchards racer Mike Behar passed race leader Jeff Little midway through the Inland Northwest Super Stocks 100-lap main event Saturday night to claim his second win of the season at Stateline Speedway with only two races left in the series’ championship run.

Behar started at rear of the field after contact in a heat race. Behar, who won the series opener in April, worked his way up through the field in chase of race leader Jeff Little who had built a strong lead during a caution free first half.

Little’s lead vanished on lap 52 for the one and only caution of the night brought out by ICAR Series regular Kit VanBuskirk who spun in turn two. The restart allowed Behar to dive to the inside of Little to take command of the top spot down the backstretch.

Andy Brown and Jack Morse also ducked underneath Little to move into the top three. Little was left to battle with Dave Garber. Behar won the event by over a second. Andy Brown finished second and Jack Morse third in another strong run. Little, after leading the majority of the laps, dropped to sixth, spinning on the last lap. Todd Witham driving for Danny Garber finished fifth.

Nathan Fleury won the 15-lap Street Stocks main over point’s leader Randy Lasswel and dash winner Charlie Fiorino. Bill Robideaux won the 20-lap Early Stock main.

On Wednesday, the wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever takes place at 6pm with Fever 4’s, Road Runners, plus the cars and superstars of the Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.

Kevin Burck, Tony Berry and Dave Hill return in Winged Sprints this weekend along with the ICAR Series and Hobby Stocks. Qualifying starts at 6pm racing at 7:30pm. Adult admission is only $8, Family Passes are $20 and admit two adults and up to three children.
